Verdict: A solid set of casual winter footwear that keeps your feet warm and protected, without looking too keen!

The North Face Back-To-Berkeley IV sneaker boots (we’re divided on how to refer to them!) are a solid choice for those seeking both style and function in their winter footwear.

With a design that merges outdoor utility with a casual sneaker look, these boots are perfect for everyday winter wear, whether you're navigating city streets or exploring the great outdoors.

One of the standout features is their waterproof construction at a decent price point. Thanks to the DryVent technology, these boots keep moisture out, ensuring your feet stay dry even in snowy and wet conditions. This makes them a practical choice for anyone dealing with unpredictable winter weather. Additionally, their breathable DryVent paired with textile prevent your feet from getting too sweaty, maintaining comfort throughout the day.

The grippy soles are another big plus. If you're walking on icy or snowy surfaces, the grip these boots offer provides extra security, which is crucial for avoiding slips and falls. Combined with the EVA midsole and footbed, they offer good cushioning, so you can wear them for long periods without discomfort.

While the heel loops make them easy to slip on and off, it’s the combination of tough materials and high-ankle design that really shines when it comes to winter protection. The stylish look is versatile enough for both casual trips and light outdoor adventures, so you don’t have to sacrifice aesthetics for practicality.

That said, the boots are slightly on the heavier side at 884g, which might be noticeable for those looking for ultra-light footwear. However, for the durability and warmth they provide, the weight seems like a fair trade-off.

Overall, The North Face Back-To-Berkeley IV sneakers are a reliable, cool-looking, and functional option for anyone needing a winter footwear option without looking like a hardcore hiker in relaxed settings.
