The Kai art centre in Noblessner, Tallinn

Kai (meaning “dock” in Estonian) opened its doors in 2019 with the aim of promoting contemporary art and culture in Estonia and the wider Baltic region, and hosts a variety of exhibitions, performances, screenings, and other cultural events throughout the year, featuring works by both local and international artists. The building also houses a cinema, two restaurants, a bakery and a cocktail bar, a coworking space and various venues for events.

The centre’s facilities include a large exhibition space, a black-box theatre, a cinema, and a cafe, as well as an outdoor terrace overlooking the port. The building's design combines the original industrial features of the submarine factory with modern elements, creating a unique and striking atmosphere.

In addition to its cultural program, Kai Art Centre also offers residencies for artists and curators, providing them with a space to live and work in Tallinn while developing their projects and connecting with the local art scene.
