Verdict: affordable and well-made protection for your hands in the rainy and wintery months!

These overgloves are designed to provide an extra layer of protection atop your non-waterproof winter gloves (such as the Rab Baltoro gloves we reviewed recently).

Engineered for long, wet, or cold rides, they ensure your hands stay at a comfortable temperature for extended periods. The palm and fingers feature a grippy fabric, improving your ability to firmly grasp the handlebars even when it’s raining hard. Reflective panels covering two fingers also ensure you’re seen at night, adding an important safety element for cyclists.

When it comes to waterproofing, these gloves excel. With a water resistance of 15,000 mm water pressure, they offer reliable protection against the driving rain. The strategic placement of thermo-bonded watertight bands along the long internal seams and between the fingers ensures water stays at bay. Additionally, the use of watertight thread on the edges of the fingers further enhances the overall waterproof design.

Designed with a focus on breathability, these gloves undergo rigorous testing based on the ISO 11092 standard for evaporative resistance (RET). With a low RET value, they are extremely breathable, making them suitable for intense workouts. The thoughtful inclusion of a discreet pocket allows for a compact design – once folded, the gloves easily fit into the palm of your hand.

This ensures convenience and portability, allowing you to stow them away effortlessly in a small bag or pocket.

The 3-finger design of these gloves serves a dual purpose: maximising warmth and addressing the challenge of waterproofing inherent in traditional glove designs. By retaining a basic level of dexterity, they enable cyclists to maintain control, steer their bikes, and execute essential manoeuvres such as braking and gear changes. The clever integration of functionality, protection, and compact design makes these overgloves a valuable addition to any cyclist's winter gear arsenal.
