Verdict: A great lightweight sleeping mat at a fantastic price!

Needing a new air mattress for reconnaissance missions of the Pennine way, led us to buy this inflatable sleeping bag from Decathlon.

Weighing a mere 510g, this mattress is engineered to provide good insulation and support in the summer months without burdening your backpack. Its ultra-compact design packs down to just 1.7 litres, saving valuable space for other gear.

Crafted from durable polyester and polyurethane materials, this mattress is built to withstand rugged terrain while ensuring a comfortable night's sleep. We bought the ‘large’ with dimensions of 180 cm x 52 cm x 5 cm, which offers ample sleeping space for one person someone around 6’1”(c.186cm). The adjustable pressure feature allows you to customise your sleeping experience by simply pressing the ‘In’ valve, ensuring personalised comfort throughout the night.

Ideal for mild weather conditions with temperatures above 8°C, this mattress boasts an R-Value of 1.5, providing sufficient insulation for summer camping trips. Whether you're trekking through the mountains or exploring remote wilderness areas, this mattress offers the perfect balance of comfort and convenience.

It’s easy to inflate and deflate making setup and takedown nice (and quick compared to other air mattresses), allowing you to spend less time fussing with gear and more time enjoying the great outdoors. Plus, the lightweight construction makes it a practical choice for backpackers and minimalist adventurers seeking to maximise mobility without sacrificing comfort.
