The Shwedagon Pagoda, also known as the Golden Pagoda, is one of the most iconic landmarks in Yangon, Myanmar, and a sacred site for Buddhists worldwide.

Cultural events and festivals at Shwedagon are integral to Myanmar’s Buddhist calendar. The Shwedagon Pagoda Festival, held annually around the full moon of Tabaung (March), is one of the most vibrant celebrations, drawing thousands of pilgrims for prayers, offerings, and cultural performances.
