Verdict: A well-priced, comfortable pair of motorbike trousers that are great for adventure trips!
I bought these Oxford Continental Advanced motorcycle trousers in 2022 for commuting and so far, they’re really good! As a rider who loves long ‘motorbikepacking’ rides (a portmanteau I made up of bikepacking (which I also love) and motorbiking), I needed some trousers that could withstand the wear and tear of long days on the road while also keeping me comfortable and protected.
The pants are also designed to be comfortable for long rides, with stretch panels in key areas for flexibility and a mesh lining that promotes airflow and prevents sweating. The multiple pockets also provide ample storage for my phone, wallet, and other essential motorbike packing items.
The Cordura material used in these pants provides good abrasion resistance, while the removable waterproof membrane keeps me dry and comfortable when weather conditions get challenging. The adjustable knee armour ensures a perfect fit, and the reflective detailing on the pants helps me stay visible on the road, even in low light conditions.
Overall, I highly recommend the Oxford Continental Advanced motorcycle pants to any rider who is looking for a durable and protective option for long rides. They offer excellent protection, comfort, and added safety features that give me peace of mind on the road.
The Yamaha Tenere 660 XTZ is my first adventure motorbike after several years riding super bikes, café racers, and others – and I really love it, it’s robust, rugged, doesn’t need much maintenance, and starts every time (so far!). In 2022, I rode it over 1000 miles from the UK to Estonia, via the Netherlands, Germany, Lithuania, and Latvia, on my first transcontinental expedition, and it’s given me loads of confidence to go further, and more remote.
