Verdict: A great, well-made micro-down jacket at a reasonably good price!

Its snug fit provides warmth without overheating, especially in cool, windy weather, while the synthetic PrimaLoft ThermoPlume fill offers a soft and comfortable feel akin to down insulation.

 

Despite its lightweight design, the jacket's Pertex® Quantum Eco outer fabric ensures durability and weather resistance, enhancing its performance in challenging environments.

 

While it may not match the compressibility of down jackets, the Icarus excels as part of a layering system, offering ample mobility and functionality with its high-placed pockets and elasticated cuffs.
