The Secret Life of Walter Mitty (2013)

A feel-good film about choosing the harder path in life, Walter (played by Ben Stiller, who also directed the film) is an asset manager at a prestigious glossy magazine in danger of being made redundant by the firm’s move to a purely digital output.

When he notices negative 25 is missing from a submission from photographer Sean Penn, he embarks on a round-the-world adventure to track down Penn and find the missing negative that captures the ‘quintessence of life’. His investigation takes him to Iceland and Greenland, Helicasting into the sea (it’s great fun, trust me), mountaineering in the Himalaya, and plenty of other things to give you ideas for adventure!

With an epic soundtrack from of Monsters and men, José González, and Jack Johnson, and ‘Stop dreaming. Start living.’, as the film’s tagline, you can’t fail to be inspired after watching it.
