The Louvre Abu Dhabi is a world-class art and culture destination, celebrated as the first universal museum in the Arab world. Located on Saadiyat Island, this architectural and cultural masterpiece opened in 2017 as part of a unique collaboration between the UAE and France. The galleries are organised chronologically and thematically, showcasing items like prehistoric tools, ancient manuscripts, Renaissance masterpieces, and modern art.

The museum’s collection includes works by iconic artists such as Leonardo da Vinci, Vincent van Gogh, Claude Monet, Pablo Picasso, and Jackson Pollock, alongside pieces from Middle Eastern and Asian cultures.

One of the museum’s key missions is to highlight the shared connections and cultural dialogues between civilisations. Temporary exhibitions complement the permanent collection, often focusing on themes that explore the intersections of art, science, and humanity.
